Everyone of us is familiar with shadows. But have you ever noticed that the size and the direction of the shadow changes as the day progresses? Can we use our shadow to estimate the position of the sun in the sky, and the time of the day? We will try to answer these questions in this unit, using a simple model, followed by some simple outdoor experiments.
