Teachers can apply for this fellowship to visit HBCSE or any other regional centre (IMSc Chennai, IISER Mohali, IISER Kolkata, IISER Bhopal, NISER Bhubaneswar) during school vacations for up to 3 months to undertake a research and development project in science, mathematics, or science and mathematics education, preferably something which is relevant to school science and mathematics.
During this period, the teacher would be given a fixed honorarium of Rs 15,000 per month. There is a provision for institutional accommodation during this period, please indicate if you would like to avail it. No TA will be provided for local or outstation candidates. You should inform the school authority regarding the VP teacher fellowship application, with details of the fellowship time and duration. Please note that the fellowship is during school break and schools are not obligated to provide any leave during the duty period for this fellowship.
To apply for the VP teacher fellowship, the teacher should have:
– attended 1 VP physical workshop at any of the regional centers OR received 2 VPDS certificates,
AND
– conducted at least 2 LUs with students in her/his school (either observed by VP team or report submitted on VP website). Here FULL reports of fully or partially conducted LUs would be accepted.
Note: FULL report implies plausible answers to all questions on the teacher submission form (including non-mandatory ones), along with required photographs/documents as mentioned in the form.

- Duration of visit (the fellowship is for a 1-3 months period, the minimum time is 1 month)
- Preferred start date
- Where do you wish to conduct research work? Please specify the Vigyan Pratibha regional center from the list (HBCSE Mumbai, IMSc Chennai, IISER
Mohali, IISER Kolkata, IISER Bhopal, NISER Bhubaneswar) - Do you require institute accommodation during this period?
- Purpose of visit/proposed research work (write a 3-5 line summary of work you are interested to pursue under VP)
- Details of VP workshops attended
- Details of Learning Units conducted by you in your school (observed by VP team/report submitted on VP website)
- Attach a short CV (or list your educational qualification, teaching experience, conference/training participation, etc. to date)
